I just had our 59 2dr Firesweep aligned & found the shocks need to be replaced. Are the KYB's worth the money or should I consider another brand gas shock? There is no KYB listing for our car but I wonder if the KYB #s 4507&5511 will work?Thanks.

You can call KYB and they will tell you what will fit it. What kind of ride are you looking for, soft, hard, etc.

That's the usuall recommendations. Just put them on my '60 Plym project. Lower tube mount on the front shocks need to be narrowed to fit.

With out any market hipe and the etc, NAPA has what you are looking for.

The 1959 MoPar Passenger Car Parts List shows that every Division from
the Plymouth to the Imperial's used the same part number for shock's.

Of this they had a "standard" and an "HD".

////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
The other part of this is every shock is a wear life and a time life item.

Just like milk in the cooler, they have a time life and just get old ( but
I only take a little out once a mth when I have _________ ).

Just installed KYB this past week on my 60 Dodge, and you do need to grind the fronts a bit to get them to fit in the mount.
