hello....

I NEED HELP!

well my dear oscar ('61 suburban) is booked in for his LHD inspection on wednesday morning, that means one more day to get him ship shape ready to pass his inspection so that i can finally get my suburban registered and then drive it!!

so my dilemma is that the paint shop welded up my side mirror hole and then the car was painted, so i dont know where it goes again?!?!? i forgot (or purposely put this from my mind) and now have one day to get it back on correctly... so....

IF THERE ARE ANY '61 PLYMOUTH OWNERS OUT THERE WITH THEIR STANDARD SIDE MIRROR IN THE ORIGINAL FACTORY POSITION, COULD YOU PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE BE ABLE TO GIVE ME THE MEASUREMENTS SO THAT I CAN PUT MINE BACK ON WHERE IT SHOULD BE....

MEASUREMENTS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED, I ONLY HAVE A DAY TO GET THIS DONE, SO PLEASE HELP IN A TIMELY FASHION!! THANKYOU IN ADVANCE...

cheers adriana

Adriana -

Check you hotmail. I sent you a factory template for installing the 61 Plymouth mirror.

i just had a realisation... idiot me! i was going through all the photos ive ever taken of oscar and was thinking that maybe the mirror wasnt in the correct place anyway as it was a replaced panel... then i though OH MY LORD, the original panels packed away in the garden shed... so i shall try and dig it out and see if there are mirror holes on that one... cant believe i didnt think of this sooner... better today than tomorrow i guess though... cheers everyone... hopefully this is going to work... adriana

thanks ron...

i didnt find your email until last night in my junkmail folder... thanks so much though, and it will come in handy in the future with my next suburbans... we had a problem with the arial being in the way, but where we have the mirrors now, they dont clash with the arial, and looks to be very similar to the pic in the accessories brochure... glad its finally done... now off to our inspection... adriana
