It should run off of a nine volt battery. Another neat thing is that if you connect it to the ipod in you pocket you can switch the music from outside the car at a car show. You could even broadcast to the car next to you if you wanted! I also have the fm converter in my car right now. It works just fine to pickup the oldies station in town. ![]()

Are they available new?...........................MO I don't think so, I think they went the way of the add on power boosters that many of us blew our speakers with. Ebay or craigslist or swap meet item maybe?

Expert Posts: 1444 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Location: Oconomowoc Wi | It goes "In Line" from your car antenna to the FM converter, and then on to the original AM radio. Connection from the FM converter to the original AM radio is thru the AM radios antenna socket. The FM converter is basically sending the FM band and broadcasting it to the AM radio on a fixed AM frequency. For the FM converter to play thru the original AM radio , the AM radio needs to be tuned to that AM Freq. I believe its around 1400 on the AM band. You may also need to tune the antenna on the AM radio. Edited by Bart_59_Dodge 2008-11-21 11:00 PM
