He needs 10 very serious interested parties though before going ahead with this project (to cover start-up costs). Look him up in the user listings here, or you can reach him on the boards at plymouth central. Gwen Cairns

Extreme Veteran Posts: 505 Location: Buffalo, NY | I should have everything ready to roll Monday. I'm meeting with the facility to pan out the rest of the particulars. I have to reiterate that they have to be perfect reproductions. I'm not out to beat anybody to the market here guys. I refuse to sacrifice quality for any reason. I have reached the minimum number of interested parties to move forward.

Extreme Veteran Posts: 505 Location: Buffalo, NY | Well Guy's bad news. I'm afraid that it will be a no go on the bumper wings. The shop owner decided that he wanted way to much in startup costs as well as a "peice of the action" if you know what I mean. We met last monday and were unable to work things out in a way that benefited us all. Sorry to dissapoint. The last thing I wanted was to let anyone down. Hopefully the other two guys that are planning to repop them can come thru for us.

Member Posts: 40 Location: Indiana | I would also be interested to make copies, BUT first I would need to acquire some. I make stuff in asia (don't hate me for it) so my start-up costs are less. I posted a thread about making parts a few days ago, and bumper wings were suggested. http://www.forwardlook.net/forums/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=15369&...

Expert 5K+ Posts: 6203 Location: Big pimpin' | ALOT of people have tried this before, and they all have failed and never heard from again.... It would be good if someone could acually make these new, but the cost of the press and related stuff to make em' is gonna be enormous! those wings are thick......(Metal) this is where most fall short when it comes to the start up money.......Then you would have to sell for big $$$$ just to get your return investment back, and good luck finding someone who's gonna pay $4000.00 for wings...........

Veteran Posts: 285 | I am presently working on Reproducing Steel Chromed Bumper Wings, but don't get excited yet, it may be months before anything is finished and ready for sale, but they are slowly happening, so if I don't die of old age first they are one of a number parts i will be making ( HA ) regards George.

Expert 5K+ Posts: 6203 Location: Big pimpin' | The bumper wing's have been reproduced in Fiberglass for '57-'58 Plymouth's by Screen name, Manos in Greece...They are ion Epay right now...($400)... VERY high quality.....Some ones doing the metal ones too, but are a bit on the pricey side.($3500, fully chromed)...
