Was there a Polara 330 marketed in Australia? Not so in the US.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chrysler_Australia is a photo of the Hemi 6. Clearly not slanted! :)
Gary, a few things here to answer...
No, the '63 Dodges in Australia were marketed as the Dodge Phoenix, 318 automatic 4-door sedan only as they had been since 1960 and remained until 1966. The trim model was approximately 440, nothing as 'luxurious' as a Polara. They had Plymouth dashboards. From 1965, our 'Phoenix' was a basic Fury in RHD. From '66 or '67 there was an option of a 383 automatic version in a 4-door hardtop.
The Hemi 6 photo on that page is an early US-built prototype from before they moved the distributor to the rear (between cylinders 5 and 6). This had only been a design exercise in the US, but it was an important step forward for the Australian branch of the company.
Additionally, there are several 'short cuts' in the description of the Chrysler Royal range on that page.
