Do you know the compression ratio of the engine? The maximum recommended compression ratio for the Mopar Performance High-Torque Starter is 11.0:1 for example. There was a Pro-Line Performance Mini-starters for Mopars. (Formerly listed as R.B. Performance Products) sold by Ron Cook in Parker, AZ that was reviewed here as good a long time ago. Not sure if they are still in business. The listing is still on http://1962to1965mopar.ornocar.com/restoration-sources.html Can't use the original style starter? No room? The ol' Max Wedge high compression cars used them okay. Thanks, Gary H. > Members--I recently purchased a Dodge 62 ht. with a 500 cu. in. 440. > The starter drags and needs to be replaced.
