Whatever Chrysler products that received the benefits and went into production the result of the Ramchargers Engineers efforts on the drag strip would certainly fall into the category as muscle cars. Which really took of starting
with the 1962 models that dominated the street and the strip. Shorter, lighter with big block engines that started Detroit scrambling. The 1962 Dodge with the 413 Max Wedge Cross Ram was dubbed, “The Dodge that Almost Ate Detroit.” The Muscle Car era was
off and running from there.

The mid 50's Chrysler 300's were pretty bad ass cars. Really the start of high performance and nascar.

My thought on the definition of a "Muscle Car" as defined generally by the Bid Three Auto makers and their advertising/marketing arm and the general populace (not necessarily the true Hot-Rodder or engine builder) began with the 1964 GTO. That being said,
1955-1963 higher horsepower vehicles were not marketed with the same hype or moniker as the heavy sixties advertising conglomerates and were truly cars with stunning power; both in their production year and compared with the reputed "first" 1964 Muscle Car;
ie 1957 Chrysler 300C, 1962-64 MAX WEDGE...

I wouldn’t agree based on the definition of a muscle car, lighter weight, higher horsepower. Higher horsepower and performance upgrades alone does not make a muscle car.......... but I may be biased. lol
