There is some overlap with 1966 but the book I have lists a different interchange number for 1967 up. It does not 
explain why though.  Sector shaft size?

There was discussion in the past here about upgrading to a different fast ratio box, either 16:1 or 20:1. I think 16:1 
was more mentioned. Some members have performed that swap. Maybe they will chime in. 

There was also mention here of different quality in the rebuilt units available. Or, if you are handy, a DIY approach is 
available.
