There are repro units out there, I don't know the quality. There is nothing wrong with these units taking care of them keeping dirt and sand out of them. I don't believe there is any difference between big & small block units, but there may be for a /6. I converted on of my drive shafts to a flange/u-joint keeping the flange on my output shaft.
