My thing about primer is that it is not a top
coat.

Bill is correct. Also, the pinch weld on the firewall is the
rough demarcation line where the body color starts in the engine bay, with B/C
overspray going onto the underside of the trans tunnel. All the paint/primer
changeover areas are done quickly and "poorly," none of it being taped off.
