This may not be your issue but I have a 1 ton Dodge Van Conversion RV that is not used much. I was getting pulsing of the brakes and took into a local shop I use to have the front brakes checked. Even though it sure felt like the front brakes it was the rear drums.
The shop manager told me the easy way to check if it is front or rear is to apply the parking brake while driving and if it is the rear the pulsing will be felt.
Rear drums turned, net brake shoes and back in business, no pulsing.

My car has been sitting for 3-4 years and I'm working on getting it back on the road. I had a front brake disk conversion a few year ago. What I am seeing is a rust build up on the stopping service of the rotor and the brakes are pulsing when I stop. I know I can have the rotors turned and that will take care of the rust. But just curious if there is another way.
