Thanks Bill. That is confusing, I agree. I remember reading that conversion cable for late trans was custom made on the "as needed" or "when ordered" basis. Not like the other items. But I just looked on the Schumacher Creative Services website and they don't have any of the cables even listed. They used to distribute all the Imperial cables. And all the Engine Conversion and Replacement Kits for '62-65 B-Body insulators / kits are out of stock too (I think Imperial made them).  http://www.engine-swaps.com/Pages/ProductsYear/62.65bBody.html 
Maybe your hypothesis about existing stock sell through is accurate. Which would be too bad for '62 - '65s.
