Most of the guys out here in my area do not run both. There is one danger if you run both in tandem. If your engine stalls the electric pump is still running until power is cut, this could lead to gas entering into the crankcase.
Rich K. replaced his Holley unit with a Mallory unit I sent him. I'm sure he will chime in with his setup and bracket mounting. The Mallory unit is a constant pressure not requiring a regulator.

I actually have a question or two about them as well. Can they be used in tandem with the mechanical pumps? If so, do they always have to be on?
