just know my '65 Valiant, /6, factory 4 spd was B + T. Could the fact that it
was a Canadian car make a difference too?
Neal...if you're eventually going V8, you'll
have to change all that stuff anyway.

sounnds like a rebuilld would be the easiest solution. the 1965 were
unique in two ways, the u-joint set up switched from ball and trunnion, and
secondly, even though the pushbuttons were gone in 1965,the trannies
themselves werent, so they had a way of using mechanical linkage which
actuated the cable valve body. I remember this from my 65 cuda and 65 coronet.
I just hate to spend the dough on rebuilding this slant 6 tranny when a v8
heart transplant is right around the corner.. anyway I will know more when i
go see it in the flesh friday nite. might turn out to be not such a good deal
anyway.
