Bench bleeding the M/C  completely is absolutely necessary. You do have the front brake lines to the larger rear reservoir? I have heard that pumping the brake pedal  can push air back up the brake lines.........................MO

Actually the larger bore should make it spongier. I have something just a bit over 1" and it's too spongy. I am looking to get one with the 1" or perhaps less. This has been discussed often in the past. Bench bleeding the mc is necessary. Did you do that?

i can pump the pedal about ten times to get some feel but when i release it and re-try the pedal goes all the way to the floor
