Will the original 2bbl carb linkage on a 64 Fury 318 poly fit the Edelbrock
4bbl Performer 1405 carb?
I just installed the 1405 carb on my Fury and the accelerator linkage
and return spring set-up seem to be wrong (short linkage). It appears
that I can drill the carb accelerator link setup to accommodate the Mopar pedal
ball link, but things seem short to reach the 4bbl in a correct manner.
If it needs to be changed or "fixed", what has everyone done to make it
work? I am anxious to get this engine started and broken in ASAP.
Also, since the distributor has been out of the car, what is the easiest
way to sync the distributor to the engine to get it close enough to get the car
to start?
