Re: TTI header question

I know it sounds crazy but I've been saving up my piggy bank for a set of ceramic TTIs forever and I would hate to nuke 'em during break-in.  My last two start-ups definitely heated up the headers while I sorted out burps.  I'm just sayin' the Headman elites in my truck have a lovely purple hue now as a result of the knucklehead that wired the fan backwards.  uhhhhh me

Just for break in?  Well it's your money  I'm too tight to do that but...... Not a bad idea.  How's the k member?

While I think of it, let me toss another tidbit out there.  I plan on using a cheapie set of Hedman's for break-in.  Part number 78030.  I can pick 'em up at Summit Racing for $175.  Good idea or not?

Folks,. I have a specific question regarding TTI headers.  Does anyone have experience comparing these two sets of headers for an RB engine:

- 2" headers (part number 440-200)
- 2-1/8" low-deck step headers (part number 400IB-218)

If so, I'd like to hear your experiences comparing the fitment, performance, etc., one against the other.

I'm not trying to ignite a debate over stepped headers.  Looking for some real-world data, preferably on a B body like mine.

Thank you,

Jim
