Saw an article a few days ago before the Daytona 500. J. Johnson's car was disqualified during inspection. seems his car was 1/10,000 of an inch too wide. They fixed it of course.NASCAR isn't about winning anymore. Everyone has to be the same. No competition here at all. I haven't watched since you could actually tell what make car they drove. But listening to some of the people I know that follow it, it seems like it has become more of a personality driven thing. When I was a youngster and did pay attention it was all about the brand. The old race on sunday buy on monday thing. It may still be true for some but I suspect it has become more soap opera for a large slice of the viewers/ Paul L. I'm rooting for David Gilliland, #38, as I knew his Dad when I lived in California. He is a master mechanic and previous racer. He helped me with some projects and is a super nice guy. Back in the 80's he showed me his Nascar 'coated' pistons they were beginning to use. Yeah LeRoar has coated pistons. Just putting in a plug for a good bunch of people that I can relate to.
