Discovered a simple thing - very fine steel wool will clean up the stainless trim on our cars. Example on the rear gate trim in less than 30 seconds. I did switch to #000, seems to work quicker and still not leave any visible scratches.
I have a bid on straightening and polishing the 40 some pieces of stainless on the Dart, $1,700. Needless to say, 0000 and/or 000 steel wool and a couple evenings work and she is looking pretty good for now.
