Re: No transmission downshift when flooring it

Everything!

If I get sometime I will get some photos of what you need.  I bet several people on here will beat me!!   If you cant find what you need locally call Clayton at 636-257-4669 he will have it and probably most everything else you are looking for.  He has all old MoPars in his recycling yard.  I have to admit he does have one lone ford somehow.

Somtimes I think it is a miracle that this car actually runs.  I had a look at my carb.  Is the left side of the carb on the driver's side or the passenger side?  Regardless I don't see anything that resembles a rod going to the transmission nor am I sure where it would exactly if I did have one.  I'm attaching two pics, one from the left side one from the right.  What am I missing?

My 65 Coronet with a 383 and whatever automatic transmission would have come with that engine does not downshift when I floor it.  My Chevy friend tells me that my detent cable probably needs some adjustment which he is happy to do but upon further investigation tells me I am missing that cable.  I assume he knows what he is talking about and that I should have such a cable.  What is it called in the Mopar world?
