Thanks guys for the info, the repair manual that I have is not clear on which car model was equipped the engine selections. maybe a good thing this engine is too far away for me to get carried away, but I would not mind owning it just the same. The '65 Coronet 500 that I owned back in '80/'81 had a very strong 413 engine that had been swapped into it. That car was awesome, I ruined a few pairs of tires with it. It left a good impression on me. The only reason I sold is was that I was a college student at the time, no place to store it, and the fuel mileage was of course terrible, hi-test only. Something for thought when looking at older 413 engines. The last year for Plymouth with a 413cu.in. was 1961, ( we're not talking about the 62' 413 Max Wedge). My 1961 Plymouth Fury is a 413cu.in. 375hp Sonoramic Commando. The tranny is a T-85 3-speed. There is a Plymouth 413 engine for sale not far from me and it has a A-488 Torqueflite (cast iron to 1961). The owner told me that the crankshaft flange may be different and not mate to a A-727 Torqueflite (aluminum 1962 - later). I've not seen the pre-1962 crankshaft flange but this is just something to think about.

No, the 413 was not an option for 1964 B body Dodge or Plymouth police cars.
The 413 was an option only in 1964 Dodge 880 police cars.
The 413 was not available in any 1964 Plymouths.
Thanks, Gary H.
