Yes you are correct,,,,, and R would have been a 61 car so would have
been sept of 61 probably very close to end of the 1961 produced
cars when engine was assembled, and as some one else said the casting
number would have had a 6 in it not a 0
This brings in another question, what was the last year
for the extended crankshafts and the longer belhousing mount area,,,,
