I had a Super 6 in a D150 with a 4 speed overdrive manual trans.  Damn thing could hardly get out of it's own way, and didn't get much for gas mileage either. Throw them all away and use a 318 LA.  More power and same or better gas mileage. 
/6 is a conversation piece at best.  They can be "built" to perform, but so can any other engine.  Sorry, not on the band wagon on this one.
