Gary,
To the best of my knowledge;
The cast iron dual plane small base WCFB 4V intake manifold was used on the Poly Head engine for 56', 57' & 58'.
The cast iron dual plane large base AFB 4V intake manifold was used on the Poly Head engine for 58' (certain engines), 59', 60', 61', & 62'.
The Weiand 7503 aluminum single plane intake manifold, (no longer produced), is a performance manifold intended for engines modified making horsepower and torque at higher rpm's.

I'm changing the subject to match the content.
1961 was the last year a 318 factory single 4bbl manifold was available in the US, if I recall correct.
I also think there was only 1 dual plain factory version. Gary P. will know for certain.
Thanks,
Gary H.
