Yes Cory it was cool !  Lions Dragstrip was my favorite place.  I did miss out on the 65 and 66 season thanks to Uncle Sam.  But I was there a lot for the 63 and 64 seasons!  I had a 59 Spt Fury 318 in 63 and my new 64 Dodge 330 2 dr post  383, 4 spd in 64.  I was just a dumb college kid in love with G-forces :-)  I worked all night unloading trucks at an Alpha Beta grocery store in Seal Beach and spent the days at Long Beach State College.  I was tired but happy :-)
