Re: Chrysler historical " build record" ?

I surely understand this.  Some of the older colors are best left to the past, but some would really look nice on new cars in the new paints.  I am tired of seeing the same old colors, choice of gray or black interiors, only packages for options, etc.  A nice variety would help and I think boost sales.  It was enjoyable to go into a dealership and start checking boxes for the options you wanted, without having to accept upgrades or options we did not want.

Very true Larry, but by that rationale, I hope no one ever reads the tag on my '63 or gets the Historical file on it if I ever sell it.  I'd hate to know it got cursed by putting it back to it's original color !!!!   LOL

I have not used the Chrysler Historical files, but with the number of owners that some of our cars have had, and the desire to "personalize" them by each owner, it is sometimes nice to see how the car originally came from the factory.  If someone wants to restore the car to it's original state, I believe it could be a great resource.  Restoration doesn't always mean "flipping", but the desire to have the car as it originally came from the factory.  Some just want "original", others want it "personalized".  Some just want a car.
