Re: dyno results and car update

As an example of dyno numbers, back in '63 I had my '59 Ply Sport Fury 318 power pack dyno tuned in Garden Grove, CA.  The horsepower was about 112hp at 60mph in high gear with 2:94 rear and 14" tires.  They didn't run it up like they do now and find the max.  There is a percentage of power loss but it varies with the application. Some drive lines are more efficient than others. I think a 15% loss is fairly good.

I like your Plymy and what you are doing with it.

I am afraid to admit how old school I am, but how does dyno at the
rear wheels translate into numbers on an engine dtno?  I know the rear
wheel dyno reads less but I am not familiar with  the numbers you give
to know just what kind of power your engine has. ..................MO
