Rich,
That extension housing should pull off with the cable out as the park pall is out of the way.

I have another transmission in hand now and want to remove the tailshaft housing from it and install it on my transmission, after a few mods ie: gussets. What do I need to do to remove the housing? My concern is the parking sprag. I have removed the flange from the tailshaft and the speedo gear is pulled. The parking cable is removed from the trans also. Will I need to remove the parking sprag housing before I unbolt the tailshaft housing or can it come off with the unit. My gut feeling is that I probably do need to remove the parking sprag housing firstInfo is welcome :-)Rich Kinsley '64 Dodge Polara LeRoar 4dr 324 poly w/goodies--
