If all the rear suspension is original I think new or rebuilt springs with all new rubber or polyurethane bushings and quality gas shocks would be a wise choice. If you need more traction install a pinion snubber. If you like to corner fast a antiroll bar will make a great difference provided it is matched with a front bar.
