school dist maintenance yard and teaching welding. He has built

You are right. It's just outside the trans
mount towards the rear-end.
I have some other things to do before I can get under
the car and start on this new issue. It's always good to take a
break when things get broke :-)

I just wanted to mention that I may have said trans tailshaft
problem when I meant it was the tailshaft housing and not the shaft
that broke. Glad to hear I can weld and gusset it :-)
