Subject: Instrument cluster question
Hi there folks,
Would appreciate your help solving a mystery, Behind my instrument cluster, right near the voltage limiter, is what I can only say looks like a condenser (from a points and condenser type of set). It has a black wire with a spade connector that is plugged into the center of the three holes where the voltage limiter is plugged in. It also has a red wire that is - well - snipped off.
Question is - what is this thing and more importantly, where does the red wire go? I can't seem to figure it out - at least it is not obvious. The only thing I could image is that at one time it was spliced into the red wire that connects to the ammeter. But those wires are long gone.
(I tried to add some pics with and without the voltage limiter connected.)
Please help!
Thank you,
Jim
