Well, for the summer anyway. Had the '63 out for an extended cruise today. Temps ranged from 88 to 90 and the repaired radiator, new water pump, themostat and housing all stayed dry and functioning properly. It ran nice and cool at highway speeds, and didn't increase much idling around town either. Does warm up a bit at a standing idle, but not alarmingly so, and quickly dropped once moving again. It has a '68 383 HP engine with a Purple Shaft cam, and an Edlebrock 800 carb (yeah it's probably a bit big) on a stock intake btw. It also starts much easier with the electronic ignition conversion, and the power steering pump and new hoses were nice and dry as well. Still need to do a lot of "little" things to it, such as plugs, wires, coil, it needs tires too, as it's still on old bias plys, but I'd like to do wheels at the same time, so that's not in the "little" things column. Need to check the vendor page and find rubber bumpers and such for the hood too. All in all it was a fun day to have it on the road with no problems.
