That it does.

If you want to remove the hub on that side you will need to use a hub
puller, just like the other side.  However, if you want to remove the
drum, no problem.  As you have found out it just slides off the studs.
 You will need to remove the hub only when you need access to the axle
seals or bearings.  Much less hassle.
