Re: Carpet padding insulator

no it is a black rubber tar substance with thick foil on one side and adhesive on the tar side easily molds to any shape, it is the same material as hushmat or dynamat about 3/16 of a inch thick awsome stuff and for what they want for 10 square feet of dynamat you get 100 square feet of fatmat and you cant tell the difference besides having a different logo on it.propably made by the same company, my brother in law used hushmat or dynamat and spent almost 500 bucks to do his car floor and after he saw what i got for 129.00 i think was what i paid about a year and a half ago he almost fainted and i still have about half of it left i only used a couple small pieces of the second roll,i believe i almost have enough to do my 1972 charger charger still, and i completely covered the firewall and floor, hump, and  both wheelhouses on the 65 ,i went on ebay and typed in fatmat tonight and the first one popped up is 100 square feet for 149.00 which i think it has gone up 20 bucks since i bought mine, but there is still enough to do almost 2 cars,or if you did one car it would cover the roof floor and inner doors easily for 149.00 and it sure does take the tin sound out of the car,

Is that a gray foam, with adhesive on one side and foil on the other?
If so you can get it at Lowes, sold as duct insulation wrap. It does not form well to corners and bends for me, once stuck, hard to move.

That's one of the reasons I asked, I know Dynamat is expensive. Where
can you get Low-E ? Haven't heard of that one.
