After checking further on my 64 Fury (318/Poly), looks like I will have to
dig deeper into the engine, requiring a pull-and-rebuild if I want to keep the
same engine it started it's life with.
My question is what can I replace it with and still use the push-button
transmission? 318/361/383? How about later (LA) small or big
blocks? Would later motors need an adaptor plate to mate to the
trans?
All thoughts are appreciated.
