Re: Race Hemi Paint

Guys, another trick for painting  with hard to get colors is to first paint the engine with a silver engine paint then paint your color  on it. You can get away with just ONE can of paint this way.I learned this trick years ago when I was having alot of trouble finding AMC engine paint for my 70 AMX.By first painting the engine with silver you get much better coverage with the color you choose.

you might want to go to tractor supply and buy Allis Chalmers orange, it is scary close to Hemi orange and a bunch cheaper

Anybody know where I can get some Mopar Pererformance Race Hemi engine enamel.?
It's been on back order for two months at Summit racing, and they finally just cancelled my order, and Mancini is out too.
