Hi all,

The club members here with high-speed connections as well as those still on dial-up all need consideration. 

"No attached pictures allowed" is an option. But it is not something I want to do right now. The problem is not picture attachments but very BIG sized picture attachments.  

For example, I took a photo that was posted here recently and ran it through Web Resizer. Took less than 20 seconds. The original photo was about 1.2MB and the revised version was 40kb, or 96% smaller! And the revised photo looked *exactly* the same as the original, maybe better! That smaller photo for anyone still on dial-up would not impose an unrealistic dial-up download burden, in my view.
  
So for now let's agree to either reduce the size of photos members post here or upload the photos to one of the many photo hosting sites and post a link to that address. Of course, it is also possible to set the size of the original photo taken by the digital camera or scanner to be much smaller. 

One last point: if you reply to a message that has photos in it, please delete the photos and do not send them again in your reply. Check your email program's settings. There should be a "do not include attachments in replies" option to check. Or just manually delete the photos before pressing send.
