Yea that's what's in my shop manual. I just checked oriellys those drums aren't Wagner but brake best select. Any good?
Sent from my iPhone If you don't have those bolts as in the pic you have the other kind of brakes. Look at the link Gary Sent you. It's correct. http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s63/jeeping1974/axles/DSC04471.jpg

After looking at that pic, it seems I can't just loosen those two bolts but use that adjustment wheel. I'm gonna bet all my problems stemmed from them being adjusted too tight when the guy I got my car from said he did a brake job. I was able to see the shoes, they still had life to them. I also had a question on my previous reply I believe.

I agree,,,I can not swear to the 63 models, but know that they had
gone Bendix by 64 for sure,,,,,,
Total
Contact Brakes, basically a modification of the old Lockheed brakes, were
not used in 1964.
All Mopar cars used Bendix brakes with the 1963
models. There will be small slots on the lower part of the backing
plates, probably covered with rubber plugs to keep the dirt out. A
small mirror will be helpful here.
The check list for Lockheed/Total
Contact Brakes vs Bendix -
Emergency brake on the rear of the
transmission - Lockheed / TCB Emergency brake on the rear wheels - Bendix
brakes
Pushbutton automatic with no park position - Lockheed /
TCB Pushbutton automatic with park position - Bendix brakes
The
change to Bendix brakes started with new Valaint in 1960. The new B
bodiy for 1962 received Bendix brakes. Finally the C (880 - Chrysler)
and D (Imperial) bodies were converted to Bendix for
1963.

all the info! Now that you tell me all that I really hope I didn't bend
anything, its hard to find these parts! I found drums at oriellys for 80 bucks
a pop, figured I'd just get two once I get some money. I have a shop manual
and it didn't even say anything about those adjustment bolts, said something
about an adjustment wheel. Ima definitely try that when I get some
drums! > > Ruth is a 64 polaris the same? And thanks Eric for all
the info! Ima try and get the drums and shoes from a parts store and hopefully
I don't need anything else. Im prolly gonna order them today, and get them
tomorrow morning. Hopefully the hubs come off the drum easier than the drums
off the car! Haha > > Sent from my iPhone > > On Feb
