As far as the longevity of the radiator goes, the aluminum
will ride me on out as I am 62. I also have a constraint problem and the
additional thickness of the core will be a problem for me. There is also a
matter of opinion as to which one is more efficient...aluminum seems to win out.
Aluminum is also cheaper. It is going in a street rod, with a Valiant front
clip, needs to be a down draft as I could not get to the radiator cap or hoses
if it was a cross flow. It is not a stock vehicle that I am trying to restore. I
have went with a 2000 cfm Flex-A-Lite electric fan with shroud.

I
was wondering the same thing. When I had my new radiator built, they tried to
sell me aluminum, but I insisted on copper. The manufacturers made them from
copper for a reason. On Sat, Jan 21, 2012 at 8:35 AM, Tom Watters <tomwatters@xxxxxxxxxxx>
