good question,,,,, you are right about the ground,,, only thing I can think
of is a shorted out dome light socket, did it work properly with the other
doors?

would stop the circuit, but when I open the door it still blew the

(they are on the same fuse).
But, how does the door jamb switch
short out? I figured it was just completing a ground as it only has
one wire. There's no way to complete a circuit as if it was a + going
to and coming from the switch.
