Kevin, Are you trying to keep the original spinner hubcaps or are you getting aftermarket wheels? I put 15 inch wheels on the rear of my 63, but I wanted to keep the original big spinner hubcaps. I got a pair of 15 inch trim rings (i.e. beauty rings) and tack welded my original hubcaps to them. They look like they belong and pop on and off like hubcaps should. - Jim Jim Altemose, Long Island, NY '63 Polara 500 (Max Wedge) '63 Polara 500 (383) '65 Belvedere I (Street Wedge) '71 Bronco On Tue, Nov 22, 2011 at 5:38 PM, Kevin Merkley <krmerkle@xxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > HI folks, > > I want to put 15" tires on my wife's 64 Polara 500 ragtop and want to > know what the original tire diameter is for the 14" tires that would > have come with it. > > That way, I do not have to change speedo pinion gears. > > I seem to remember the 14" tires were something like 26" tall but > maybe 27". > > Anyone know for sure? > > Thanks. > > K. > > -- > -- > Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person -- directly to that person.
