A lil trick I learned from a friend of mine concerning headers leaking....He told me to get TWO "2" sets of gaskets and throw them in the tub and let them soak while I went out and started to remove the headers. The gaskets will swell up in the tub and when you mount them and tighten the headers down, the gaskets will conform to the flange better as well as the flange will tend to sink into the gaskets. This lil trick worked great on my 70 AMX with dog-leg heads. Those darn things never did leak. Now we are talking back in 84 when i did this so I'm not sure what the newer gaskets are,but it's worth a try IF it'll help.

I'm curious if that bow is going to pull in as I tighten it
not sure what flange you have on the headers, I have seen everything from 1/4 to 3/8 inch, chances are that the flange will straighten as you tighten it down, I have often seen the flanges cut between the ports on the outward cylinders as well which is a possibility if you do not feel it is pulling down straight, then again you can contact the mfg. and ask them their opinion and as to wether they are going to warranty their sealing
