Re: Dash pad removal

There is an unbend tool, his name is Eric Hayes, here in WA.  He is a metal polisher and straightener.  He does really wonderful work.  In fact I drop my car off at his shop today for restoration.  I get it back in about 4 months.

Jacob, those clips are metal, not plastic.  Well on a Chrysler they are metal, I assume Dodge would be the same.  And a magnet will tell you if they really are metal or not like Gary said.  Just gently pinch the clip together from the back side and push it out do as many as you can till you get to the edge, the rest should gently pop out like your friend said.  If you bend the piece it can be fix, don't panic, just be gentle with it, if it feels like it's wanting to bend, just stop.  But I think it will just pop out if you start from the side closest to the drivers side and pinch and push.  You can't hurt if from the back, so don't worry.
