Front drum removal is easy.  Just remove the center dust cap which is
just lightly pressed in.  Then take out the cotter pin on the spindle
nut and remove the nut.  You can remove the washer and outer bearing
or just pull the drum off bringing it all with it.  If your drums are
badly worn the brake shoes might need to be backed off a little so
they will slide past the ridge worn into the drum.

Not sure about the header question.  I have a set of Schumacher Tri-Y
headers on my B body which were a very easy installation and might
also fit your C body.  But they are a little spendy.
