You know, with all this bashing of 413s, it is amazing what these engines
did in their heyday. Agreed we are talking about a motorhome block and
heads, but it is a 413 block and heads!!!
The 413 block powered everything from Imperials to Drag race
champions to trucks and motorhomes and formed a step in
the development of the 426. I have a 60 Chrysler with the factory RB
383, which was produced for only two years, but, like the 413 uses RB heads and
intakes, including 426 Wedge and 440 parts, and it is a kick-ass engine. I
also have a 413 (motorhome) engine in the garage that I bought for kicks, which
I probably won't get around to, since I have too many other
projects/obligations. But, I don't regret buying it and would feel no
shame passing it along to someone who would like to build a top-notch
MOPAR RB engine. 413s are cool.
Just my 2 cents....
