RE: 8 3/4" pressed axle removal

The axles aren't pressed in, the drums are. Remove the drums, backing plate,
and the axles should pull out. You need a puller to get the drums off.

Subject: 8 3/4" pressed axle removal

Anyone on the list have a trick on how to remove the pressed in axles
on a pre 65 Mopar? I'm in the process of installing a 65 8 3/4 thus
eliminating the keyways.

Step one, remove the "pig" BUT one has to slide out the axles 1st and
foremost. Don't
have any experience with the pressed in axles.

Thanks in advance,
