How do you go about changing it? Remove the pump or I noticed there's like a cap on it, might be cheaper and easier just to try.

If the oil pressure is not high enough why not
first of all try a stiffer spring, they are easy to change out and you used to
be able to buy them right from the Chrysler dealer.

I agree unless maybe there is a bad oil pump gasket or the
pickup has some how moved from optimal position.

I agree,, oil pumps do not wear that much, they are constantly moving
in the coolest oil in the engine, I have my doubts that just replacing
an oil pump will make a noticeable difference in the oil pressure,
low oil pressure is usually a result of worn bearing in the engine allowing
the pressure to drop, and not a matter of a worn oil pump.
replacing an oil pump and not attending to the reason is like adding a
bandaid, as well as the fact that the pressure is within reason
anyway, I feel that the money would be better spent towards a complete
rebuild at a latter date,,,
Or,
in other words, 10 PSI per 1000 rpm. So if the 383 hot idle speed is 500,
then having a minimum of 5 PSI at hot idle will keep the motor from
seizing. 10-15 is plenty of pressure to keep the oil going where it
should at idle.
