Re: Rough idle

welllll yea and no, you don't have to bleed them unless you have to
remove the lines from the master cylinder. I have done it, but it is
much easier to remove it, and bleed the brakes after, it's a lot of
fun if you don't...but it can be done. If you have the single master
cylinder it will be a little easier than if you have a dual. Grab a
friend to help you, it's more fun if you have somebody to talk with
while you work...and he can laugh at you when you bust you
knuckles...etc. and he can help you bleed the brakes too...win-win.
Also, if you haven't messed with brakes ever before...remember...your
life depends on you stopping that 3500 pounds of iron and steel, as do
others. We all learn at some time how to do it, but most of us
learned with a buddy who knows how to do the repairs, and is there to
catch our errors. You can still do the job if you know how to work
with tools, and you can probably get a mechanic from craigslist or
from a local shop to check your work to be sure you did it right for
just a few dollars. I'm not trying to discourage you, but brakes are
really important...if you were just doing a tune up or oil change
where you can't hurt others...it's no big deal...but I hate old
Chrysler brakes, that total contact, single MC, 50 years old brake
lines, make my skin crawl, if you lived near me I'd help ya.

Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person -- directly to that person. That is, send parts/car transactions and negotiations as well as other personal messages only to the intended recipient, not to the Clubhouse public address. This practice will protect your privacy, reduce the total volume of mail and fine tune the content signal to Mopar topic. Thanks!
