adjustments that have been done to the torison bars will effect the oil reading on the dip stick. If the front end is lowered or rear raised the oil will read higher. just go with 5 with filter 4 w/o if you have the right oil pan  Dave O

Wipe off the oil on the dipstick and recheck it in the morning before you start the 383. If the oil level is way over, confirm it is the correct dipstick and that the folks at the oil change place did not mess up and put too much oil in.
