Re: Imperial Services Update

Just finished installing the new mount (after painting it, they come in bare metal), fit perfectly except I had to shave a bit of the rubber off below one bolt hole so that the ear on the block would line up with the hole in the bracket. No big deal.

I was under the impression that they used Polyurethane, when I was shaving it down to clear the ear it sure cut like regular rubber, I thought Polyurethane was denser and be harder to cut. Don't really know the difference so it could be Polyurethane, not too worried about it anyhow, just happy to have my engine level and the headers off the frame!

So I sent e-mail's and left messages 2 friday's ago requesting either a tracking number to show that it shipped or a refund by the following friday. Got a call the following Wednesday letting me know they had a problem in manufacturing (someone make the brackets wrong), and they were redoing the whole batch that week.

I had a tracking number by the end of the week, and it arrived today. Woohoo!  Now I can get my engine level and won't have the headers leaning on the frame rail anymore.

It was a long 3 month wait, but I finally have the piece, it looks to be well constructed and solid. Know what I'm doing tonight!
